All I Ask For Anymore – Trace Adkins

Every now and then you come across a song that moves you. I like all forms of music, but lately some of Country’s Music Artist have caught my eye. Here are a few of my Favorites. Regards, Rick Shoop

All The Money In The World

Another day like any other really, but something is different. Something inside is stirring the emotions.

Remembering early days when I wanted all the money in the world. Dreams of fame and prestige in our youth somehow get left behind in the toil of adult life.

We lose our child like demeanor and strap on the heavy weight and responsibilities of maturity. We search for security, for happiness, and seem to forget those meaningful days when it was a given. When all we had to do was pass the next class or show up to practice. Make it home for dinner on time and slip into our rooms past curfew unnoticed.

Yes we forget don’t we? We forget the innocence of youth. We become tainted with our failures our brow beatings and not having enough to live past worry. Now days life is not for kids.

Sometimes we need to stop and think about that. Sit quietly and remember those early days. Giving thanks for the foundations that where built. Being humble to the fact that we actually breath air.

Listen to a song that has meaning; think the thoughts that bring back the vigor of youth and the optimism that life presents before us. Hang our heads and pray our families are taken care of and that we are loved. Focusing on the really important issues in these trying days and giving more than receiving.

Taking a time out now and then to think things over can refresh your inner page. Reboot your soul to focus like a laser on the ones you love. All the money in the world can replace those around you that care. If you have ever lost a close relative or family member you know that the missing piece that left this world is still echoing in your memory and in that thought lives on forever. Make it a meaningful thought. Love those that are close show them what they mean to you. Give your soul the chance it begs for, to love.

It may or may not work for you. Personally I feel much stress in this world right now. Too many in a hurry to get nowhere fast. Children being left alone and Mom and Dad are too lost in a bog of worries to even notice.  The future is in our hands. How will you be remembered?

Give a listen to a song by Trace Adkins with lyrics. Think about where you are going and who is going with you. Mostly my friends love your kids as they are your legacy to the future.  Regards, Rick Shoop
